Ministering to the sick, shut-ins and elderly who are institutionalized are one of the vibrant ministries at St. Patrick's parish. Formed for the purpose of assisting the priests of our parish in their ministry to the sick, Health Care ministers provide spiritual support for nine (9) Nursing Homes, one (1) Hospital, plus homebound parishioners. This ministry combines "visits" and administering Holy Communion to Catholics as needed.

Each of the Nursing Homes is assigned a team of Health Care Ministers with one serving as a "coordinator". In addition to their visits and Holy Communion calls, they work with our parish priests and institutional Chaplains to schedule and facilitate the celebration of Mass at their respective locations either monthly or quarterly as is feasible.

Twice each year Health Care Ministers sponsor an Anointing Mass at the Marsh Drive Church and assist the local institutions at getting their residents to the Mass.
